I often find myself reviewing the past in a nostalgic attempt to relive my younger years. When I look at my home town of Oxford, Maine, I see myself in a sense – memories, stories, experiences – as well as the things that weren’t there before. Like many small towns, Oxford is a living thing – always changing and evolving. I am fascinated in seeking out the scenes and locations that have changed so drastically in the last 20 years – right along side those which are mirror images of years past. It’s exciting – it’s intriguing – and at times, underwhelming and disappointing when reality does not live up to my memories.
Either way, it is still “home”.
